The Solar Irrigation Solution with Flexible Payment and Services offers a practical approach to improving smallholder farmers’ access to solar-powered irrigation. By combining solar irrigation pumps, PAYGO and PAYOWN financing, flexible payment arrangements, and sales and after-sales services, the solution addresses key barriers to adoption and supports year-round irrigated farming. The solution has been scaled across Ghana, Mali, Ethiopia, and Zambia since 2020, providing farmers with access to equipment, financing options, technical support, spare parts, and repairs.
