Supporting Year-Round Food and Water Availability while Diversifying Farm Income and Building Climate Resilience The Integrated Rice-Field Pond System (IRFPS) is a low-input integrated farming system that improves existing ricefield ponds to strengthen the productivity and resilience of rice-based farming systems. By improving pond–ricefield connectivity, water and fish habitat management and integrating rice, fish, vegetables and livestock production, IRFPS supports diversified food production and more productive use of existing land and water resources, with documented increases of 57% in rice yields and 67% in fish yields.
