BM START: Organic Biostimulant for flowering and fruit setting

Improve your performance, Increase your Income

BM START® is a liquid biostimulant based on the GoActiv® technology, which is derived from the seaweed Ascophyllum nodosum. Developed by NPP, GoActiv® employs a cold extraction process to preserve and purify the seaweed's active ingredients. BM START® functions as a plant physiology activator, enhancing nutrition, flowering, and fruit development in a variety of crops. It stimulates chlorophyll synthesis, root system expansion, and enzyme production related to plant nutrition, which supports vigorous vegetative growth. Additionally, BM START® boosts flowering hormone production, enhancing flower-to-fruit conversion rates and fruit coloration.

Problem

  • Nutrient Use Deficiency: Many plants face inefficiencies in nutrient absorption and utilization, which can limit growth and yield.
  • Sub-optimal Flowering and Fruit Setting: Poor flowering and low fruit set rates reduce overall yield potential.
  • Abiotic Stress: Plants frequently encounter environmental stresses such as temperature fluctuations and water scarcity, affecting their growth and productivity.

Solution

  • Enhanced Nutrient Absorption and Utilization: BM START® increases chlorophyll synthesis, root development, and enzyme production, which optimizes nutrient uptake, contributing to faster growth and healthier plants.
  • Improved Flowering and Fruit Setting: Through stimulation of flowering hormones and anthocyanin mechanisms, BM START® enhances the flowering process and improves the rate of flower conversion to fruit, leading to higher-quality and more abundant harvests.
  • Resilience Against Abiotic Stress: The fortifying action of GoActiv® strengthens plant resilience to environmental stresses, helping maintain yield even under challenging conditions.

Key points to design your project

BM START® is an advanced biostimulant technology that enhances agricultural inputs by optimizing plant nutrition and flowering, resulting in higher crop productivity. By stimulating growth processes and increasing crops' resistance to abiotic stress, BM START® strengthens food security and promotes more efficient resource use, reducing agriculture's carbon footprint.

To integrate BM START® into your project and develop a list of activities with prerequisites, follow these steps:

  1. Estimate Product Needs: Plan for approximately 2 liters of BM START® per hectare for each application, with three recommended applications per crop cycle.

  2. Consider Availability: Assess the availability of BM START® in the local market and the costs of delivery to the project site, including potential import fees.

  3. Organize Farmer Training: Arrange training for farmers on using the biostimulant, including post-training support to maximize the technology’s effectiveness.

  4. Develop Communication Materials: Create outreach materials such as brochures, videos, and radio broadcasts to inform and educate farmers about the benefits of BM START®.

  5. Promote Supplementary Fertilization: Pair BM START® with essential base fertilization tailored to target crops to maximize both yield quality and quantity.

  6. Collaborate with Agricultural Institutions: Partner with agricultural development institutes and agro-dealers to facilitate the implementation and support of BM START® in different regions.

These steps will help enhance agricultural productivity sustainably, promoting climate-resilient farming and environmentally friendly practices.
