Supporting Year-Round Food and Water Availability while Diversifying Farm Income and Building Climate Resilience The Integrated Rice-Field Pond System (IRFPS) is a low-input integrated farming system that enables farmers and farm businesses to generate more value from existing ricefield ponds by combining rice, fish, vegetables and, where appropriate, livestock production. Improved pond–ricefield connectivity, water and fish habitat management support diversified production from the same farm resources, with documented increases of 57% in rice yields to 3.45 t/ha and 67% in fish yields to about 65 kg/pond.
